Share Your World

Share Your World

It’s Monday and that means that it’s time for Melanie to ask us to answer this week’s Share Your World questions. Here we go. https://sparksfromacombustiblemind.com/2020/10/05/share-your-world-10-5-2020/

Questions:

When was the last time you tried something new?  How did that go for you?
Funny that I saw this today because I tried something new today! I tried to make a cinnamon swirl bread using my bread machine. It came out pretty good but not what I really wanted. Now that I know what the dough will do, I can work with it again another time and get it closer to what I wanted. If anyone is from Rhode Island or has visited and has been to Aunt Carrie’s Restaurant…that is the bread I want to make!

What’s the most sensible thing you’ve ever heard someone say?
….I have no idea….

How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?
I think I would be about 32. I know I’m not young enough to be in my 20’s nor do I want to be, but I think early thirties would fit me.

Lastly, I’ll be doing one “Halloween” themed question per week during October.  Those who don’t observe the holiday are welcome to answer or to ignore it as they wish.

Fun  CREEPY Halloween Question:

Have you ever seen a ‘fresh’ corpse (aka dead body)?
Yes, twice…after they’ve been to the morgue but not embalmed or anything. My late husband and my son. I have seen plenty of embalmed people but I don’t know if that counts, they are sort of plastic at that point. I’m sorry if I am offending anyone with my answer….it’s just how I feel.

GRATITUDE SECTION (always optional)

Do you enjoy any seasonal traditions around this time of year?

I am grateful for my friend Mary who has always included me and my family in their holiday festivities. Not having a large extended family, it is sometimes hard when holidays come and you hear about who had their kids and grandkids over, who went to the uncle’s house, whose brother got wasted and made a fool of himself….

  1. Thank you so much for Sharing Your World, Christine! Yes, embalmed persons do look rather plastic. Great description! My condolences on your husband and son though. That bread sounds AMAZING! I bet it was delicious, even if it wasn’t ‘quite’ there.. This time of year can be rather lonely, and I’m glad you have a good support network to interact with! Have a wonderful week!
