Like Dr. Tanya, I love most fruits. I don’t know if I can choose only five and I also don’t know if they are only for fall, but here goes…

  1. Peaches – picked right out of a tree, smelling sweet, fuzzy
  2. Plums – Dark purplish-black with a light red inside
  3. Apples – Empire picked right off the tree
  4. Blueberries – they go with anything
  5. Bananas – yeah, I know, but they are sort of year-round

I love Star fruit, mangos, raspberries, strawberries, nectarines, grapes, blackberries, huckleberries, gooseberries…..

    1. It is so sad that fruit is as expensive as it is. When I was teaching in the inner city the kids would be so excited by blueberries, even bananas sometimes. Its no wonder so many young people are obese, fresh food costs way too much!

      1. I totally agree with you on that. In general, to eat healthy does cost more. But it is also more work (food prep), so together it is much easier to just pick up fast foods, which generally is going to be less healthy. Very sad! And weight issues contribute to so many health issues. I myself struggle, but overall I do eat healthy.

      2. I try to. Sometimes I am just too tired. I tried one of those home delivery things. They send all the ingredients and all that you make the food. Hello Fresh I think it was. I liked it except there weren’t enough recipes to keep it interesting. They were a good amount of work but at least every thing was pretty much measured.
