Dead After Midnight: Book Review

Dead After Midnight by C.P. Daly is a riveting, fast-paced thriller that will keep you page turning. The twisted plot leaves you guessing at every turn; when you think you know what is coming…think again!

Lucy and Suzanne have a hard life, but nothing is going to stop them from leaving this life behind and soon! Two women brought together by their jobs as prostitutes learn that leaving this old life behind won’t be as easy as it looks, but it will happen as soon as possible. The plot brings you through different worlds; life on the streets to small town living, but you will never guess what the simple life has in store.

The characters are believable; you almost feel like they are people you know and the situations they are put in are equally authentic. From one setting to the next, Daly moves the plot seamlessly, tying up the loose ends as she sends you on a spiraling journey.

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars for its captivating, page-turning suspense. If you enjoyed The Girl on the Train, by Paula Hawkins, you are sure to enjoy Dead After Midnight by C.P. Daly.
