Share Your World 8-24-2020

For the next several weeks “Share Your World” will have two parts.  The awesome blogger, Roger Shipp, is the creator and host (if you will) of the first part.   He found a unique way of passing some of the quarantine time and that was from watching ALL the “Harry Potter” movies.   He came up with some really fun and intriguing questions (four a week for each movie) about the movie in question.   This week we visit “HP And The Prisoner Of Azkaban”.   I’m going to link to Roger‘s blog so you can post your link over on his blog OR you can do it here as usual.

Share Your World Meets Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

  1. One of my favorite gifts that Harry Potter received came from the Weasley Twins; and was “Mrs. Mooney’s Marauder’s Map”. This magical document showed every classroom, hallway and secret corner in all of Hogwarts. It also showed you the location- by name- of every person in Hogwarts.  If you had such a magical map of your town, what would you use it for? If you would not use it, is there another person to whom you would gift it? I think I would gift it. I don’t have much interest in the town that I live in. I have a handful of friends and now that my daughter is out of school I don’t have much reason to think about it.
  1. When was the last time you made a snowball? Were in a snowball fight? I made snowball this past winter. I didn’t have a snowball fight because I have always hated getting hit. My first year at college there was a snowball fight between two dorms. Almost every window broke. I don’t know if anyone got hurt but I wouldn’t be surprised.
  2. Many cultures set great value in each child of the family having godparents. Did you have godparents? Are you a godparent yourself? I did have godparents and I know my godfather was my Uncle Joe. He died when I was a toddler. I don’t know who my godmother was.
  3. You have found a secret tunnel under your house. Where does it go? It goes to my happy place. It is the perfect temperature, no bugs, no negativity and a place where I can zone out and “talk” to my son in heaven. Only people who really love me know where to find me.

Muggle Questions (of a more philosophical bent this week):

Is intelligence or wisdom more useful?  I think wisdom is more useful. If you are wise you can find intelligence but if you are only intelligent you might not never know what to do with it.

How important is play in living a healthy and fulfilling life? Paramount. Laughter heals.

Is happiness just chemicals flowing through your brain or something more? It is much more. It is chemicals that get triggered but something has to trigger them, either internally or externally. I think everyone is capable of happiness but they have to be willing. I also think some people push it away and prefer to be miserable.

GRATITUDE SECTION (Always optional)

I am grateful that my stepmother is home from the hospital and alive. I am grateful for the time I get to spend with my dad.

Feel free to share some photos, an image, a meme, a story or incident or a poem that helps you feel grateful.

      1. Ah, I have to admit I have missed a few episodes. I am caring for my father who has dementia and my stepmother who just got out of the hospital. I’ve been coming onto my blog, reading my comments, doing a few challenges and that’s about all. I will have to catch myself up with your story.

  1. Thanks so much for Sharing Your World Christine! That is good news about your stepmother, and I’m glad you got some time with your dad. Wisdom is a rare thing these days, those who obtain it ought to cherish it. Snowball fights can be overly violent. It’s kind of sad to hear that too, because to me? They’re meant as a light hearted thing. Often times people get too angry and then it turns out badly. Do you suppose the school made those students pay for the windows? There must have been rocks in those snowballs or they were ice balls. How awful.

  2. I had snowball fights in college- but I can’t imagine the breaking of all those windows!
A secret tunnel to a place with NO NEGATIVITY … Paradise!
Thanks for participating in the Potter questions this week.
