Take Seven 2nd October

bet, boyfriend, cheese, drip, fare, fear, flack, fun, hang, negligent, new, puddle, rain, record, rhubarb, skim, subtle, thread, toffee, worm, worth

The Boyfriend

I bet that if you had a boyfriend

Who always smelled like some cheese

You send him under a water drip

Pay his fare so he’d think it was free

The fear in your eyes as he walked away

Would promise you flack from your friend

But it would be fun for you either way

Hanging out ’til the day got to end

The boy he would think you negligent

Because you wanted him in clothes that were new

A puddle would have just suited him

The rain would have done the trick too.

Just for the record nobody said

The boyfriend couldn’t come back

It’s just that the rhubarb smell of him

Made showering on the right track.

He’d skim on the soap and use little else

So the subtle smell would still be there

A thread of his nastiness lasting for days

Like toffee bits stuck in your hair.

But you love the worm, no matter how bad

He stinks and turns off your friends

It’s all worth the hugs and love that he gives

And you know that this love never ends

Three Things Challenge #375

https://pensitivity101.wordpress.com/2020/10/01/three-things-challenge-375/

Your three things today are:

CHEESE
FLACK
WORM

Little Worm

When the little wiggle worm

Goes to eat his cheese

He’s given flack from his friends

For never saying please.

He takes his turn at buggies house

And shares his favorite dirt

Buggie doesn’t mind the worm

And loves that little squirt.

They share their things and find their joy

In giving to each other

If you didn’t see their difference

You’d think Buggie was his brother.

Ribbons

Ribbons in the fairy garden

Blow in the breezes so soft

Colors for each and all to enjoy

Branches keep them aloft.

Promises whispered

Wishes can come true

Into the fairy garden

An angel walks with you.

Set your heart on your sleeve

And allow fairies to share

The love that they know is desired

Breezes blow love in the air.

Three Things Challenge

For: https://pensitivity101.wordpress.com/2020/09/29/three-things-challenge-373/

Your three things today are:

RECORD
HANG
THREAD

The Record

When I went to the park

I saw in a tree

A record was spinning

It wasn’t from me

I found that a person

Tried to hang it up high

Using a thing thread

Like a fly in the sky

The round disc was there

To reflect all the sun

I think that it’s pretty

And happy it’s done.

Blogging Life

Once upon a time there was a dog named Bracket. He was a tall dog with a pale coat, almost like an earthy tone. One day Bracket was blogging and feeling a lot of pressure to make money. He knew he had the right ticket with “click ads” but they took over such a large portion of his blog, he decided to torch the idea as it was making him mad.

It wasn’t until Bracket realized it was his blogging anniversary that he decided to take a fresh look at what he was doing. Was he somehow locked into something? He learned a lot this one day as he took a futile leap to look honestly at his work. He realized the cascade of followers at the beginning was a sort of peal in response to his originality. Now, like an old pair of slippers, followers were putting him aside, no longer needing him.

In the end, Bracket realized the party was over, he was not willing to keep pushing forward.

Three Things Challenge

Written for Di at pensitivity101: https://pensitivity101.wordpress.com/2020/09/24/three-things-challenge-368/

Your three things today are:

MONEY
PRESSURE
TICKET

Ticket

Back at the ranch

Under the stars

The pressure was on

To head straight to the bars

No money to spare

So, we knew to drink light

A ticket to paradise

Not far from sight.
