This week’s theme is not so much as having the nibbles, but how we deal with days when trying to keep to plan is futile.
I binge eat when I am super stressed out. I have found however, if I admit my binge it occurs less frequently. I know my problem isn’t always what I eat it is how much I eat.
I know that cereal is not the best breakfast food despite what some people say or think. I have heard so many different things but I go through periods when I just want cereal. My favorite has always been Lucky Charms because I liked the plainness of the cereal pieces with the sugar from the marshmallows. The last time I started buying them I found that the cereal pieces are now glazed or something. The same cereal but from Aldi’s is better because the pieces are not frosted. That being said I am done with Lucky Charms.
My newest thing for cereal is Kix. I love it and it doesn’t have that much sugar in it. It seems healthy enough. But…it is made from corn and it is cereal. I also love Special K and Raisin Bran.
David is on a healthy eating plan so cooking for him makes me cook a little healthier for myself. I don’t use a lot of fat and oils but I do love pasta as a side dish or sometimes potatoes. I can live without all that and do enjoy a quick stir-fry with ground turkey, spinach and a few other veggies.
Overall, I think I need to focus on eating only when I am truly hungry and portion control.
Thanks for joining in Christine. There was a popular diet some twenty years ago where you had cereal for two of your three meals of the day. I tried it and lasted three days as I was hungry!
Eating when you’re hungry is a good theory but sometimes that hunger seems to last for more than the meal quantity. A glass of water with the meal could help reduce that. For portion control, I took photos of my meals (quite an eye opener actually) and then invested in smaller plates. Good luck!

I love peanut paste on toast, not a very healthy option, so I try and eat cereal instead. I have a bit of a game to keep me on track. If I have peanut butter I can’t have ice cream at night. Some mornings it’s a tough decision though

Nice post.
I don’t do cereal because I eat the entire box 🤷♀️ Eggs, no yolks are my choice with avocado or grapefruit. I’m old now 😂
It was interesting for me when you said if you admit your binge you do it less.
I’m guessing it’s that way with all things we keep inside, in some manner anyhow. It’s our secret. It grows big, too large for what it is. My abuse was that way
I see it somewhat like this, from experience. Inside ‘it’, whatever it it is, can be everything and all consuming. Gigantic. But when it’s suddenly shift to external it’s as though it wilts and loses power. Shared things are far less instrumental in our self damage as things we grip tightly and hide.

You are so very right! This is one reason why I started blogging I suppose…I needed to talk about things, good and bad, but didn’t really have the people to do it with. Especially when it came to the artist or writing stuff
