” Did you know that 1980 and 2021 are as far apart as 1980 and 1939 ? “
I found the above quote on WhatsApp and don’t know what source to credit.
Anyone with slightly greater mental math skills than mine would know this already.
Those of us who were at school in 1980 used to feel that 1939 and World War II were almost prehistoric. Today I feel that my school days were prehistoric.
How about you? What do you think?DRTANYA@SALTEDCARAMEL#BLOGGINGINSIGHTS, #SALTEDCARAMEL, #SALTEDCARAMELBLOG, BLOGGING, LIFESTYLE, SELF
Funny, but I always considered myself growing up in the 80’s because that is what I remember when thinking back to being a kid. In actuality I grew up in the 70’s. I don’t know why I find this so weird or why I can’t get it straight in my mind. I think if I had to choose I would still have chosen to grow up in the 70’s. The 80’s were so…like…oh my God!…like…cliche…like….like, you know?
You make me feeling soooo old! To me the 1980s feel like yesterday. The novel’s I’ve written, set in that decade are apparently ‘historical’. I guess I should be in a museum, then. 🤣

Okay, Christine, I’ll settle for being ‘slightly historical’ (or might that be hysterical?)!!
