O’Malley

There once was a man in the alley

Who thought that he might go to Cali

We never did find

What changed his mind

We did learn his name was O’Malley

      • I’ve heard people say it, but I grew up in California and had never heard anyone say it until I started communicating with people in other states on the Internet. I was also told it might be a southern California expression more so than where I grew up… I don’t seem to hear it much around people from there either, but I don’t spend enough time down there to confirm or deny this.

But, on a related note, I can confirm that no one in San Francisco calls it Frisco. I’ve even seen a dictionary define Frisco as “short for San Francisco; not a local usage.”
