This weeks prompt: “War is at the doorstep. What do you expect me to do?”
Cry from Ukraine
War is at the doorstep
What do you expect from me?
To pick up guns and ammo
or let the enemy be?
There is no point to fighting
for we were already free
Please go back to Russia
So we don’t have to flee.
War is at the doorstep.
What do you expect me to do?
Take away my family?
Abandon all that we knew?
For war is always ugly
and this one without cause
Our world must come together
There is no time to pause.
People here are dying
Lives are all at stake.
How many people do we lose?
How much can we take?

Yes and I fear where it is headed. But they say good wins in the end. Luckily it seems like most of the rest of the world is coming on board with the US and not agreeing with Putin.
