Future Life
With each passing day I learn more
I have to think about my life
I don’t know if I’ll be a wife
I try to pray and not ignore
the signs that make me do adore
The things that help so we can grow
I’d like to find a way to know
How the things I would like to find
How to be a person who’s kind
I only want my love to flow.

Very nice! Probably one of the most gentle Decima’s I’ve seen so far.
I hope you do keep joining in. I kind of cheat when I write, depending on where the prompt word goes. Like this week, I wrote the last stanza first. 🙂 I knew I would get into trouble trying to get a rhyme into the message if I waited.
I knew the overall theme and message of the poem I wanted to convey, so I just wrote it kind of in reverse. 🙂

I will definitely join in. I don’t think you can cheat on poetry! A lot of times I have to just write then adjust word count, syllables, rhymes after I’m done. I love trying new things though because I don’t think I would do this many different types of writing on my own.

New for me too! I’m not sure if I love it but I do enjoy writing new kinds of poetry.
