Peacefulness: Compilation 01/24/23

A sweet little chirp to say hello
on a beautiful day near the sea
A sweep of the waves wash worry away
And let happiness build up inside me
No hostile thoughts can tear at my mind
For at the front of my mind love will be.

Opening my eyes

Seeing the beauty of today reminds me to love what I have
Thinking of what I had in the past frees what I see today
Remembrance of the past, its beauty, helps build hope for the future

Puff

Puff was there for fun
For children to believe in
Not to be scary

Magical dragon
Lives peacefully by the sea
Children can believe

Peaceful for children
Sailing away in daydreams
Living forever

Poetry based on Puff the Magic Dragon:

Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honahlee
Little Jackie paper loved that rascal puff
And brought him strings and sealing wax and other fancy stuff oh

Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honahlee
Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honahlee

Together they would travel on a boat with billowed sail
Jackie kept a lookout perched on puff's gigantic tail
Noble kings and princes would bow whene'er they came
Pirate ships would lower their flag when puff roared out his name oh

Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honahlee
Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honahlee

A dragon lives forever but not so little boys
Painted wings and giant rings make way for other toys
One grey night it happened, Jackie Paper came no more
And puff that mighty dragon, he ceased his fearless roar

His head was bent in sorrow, green scales fell like rain
Puff no longer went to play along the cherry lane
Without his life-long friend, puff could not be brave
So Puff that mighty dragon sadly slipped into his cave oh

Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honahlee
Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honahlee

Ronovan Writes Décima Poetry Challenge Prompt No. 39: (CONTRAST) in the A rhyme line.

Looking Ahead

Looking outside at the contrast
of morning and evening are there
it is not that I even care
The day before is now the past
the day ahead might be my last
I live to see beauty today
and breath some more in if I may
knowing for me there is still hope
and I will be able to cope
with whatever comes on my way.

Our Land is Life

We walk down the rows together tonight

To find the treasures that grow in the field

To bring us all out to the working land

To support those who rely on the ground

As the workers are sent quietly home

The growers stand out to provide for us

The ground offers golden life to enjoy

The sun offers us health for life and growth

We will praise the land for what it gives us

We can all come together with nature.
