I am heartbroken.
I built and sold this house…

After being shipped and through customs in Canada this is what my customer received…

Not only am I out all of the money but all of my time….
I am trying to get some of the money back from the insurance put on the package but they never really refund it, they always find a reason it “doesn’t qualify for reimbursement”.

Seems the postal people are very careless! And your right insurance never pays out when you claim on a lost of damaged package!

Nope! I don’t know if you remember me complaining last year about the dollhouse that ended up with my customer in pieces! It was three stories with a front that had two walls that open. I got nothing back. I hadn’t thought of insuring the amount with the shipping so when I gave the refund I was really at a loss.

Oh my goodness, that is terrible…! Such a beautiful house, you are so clever.. can you research and get reviews from different shipping companies? We always add high insurance to postage 🤞I haven’t had to claim, but always bubble wrap, fragile, this side io etc and still they arrive upside down at times ….. totally heartbreaking ….

Heartbreaking indeed Christine. All that beautiful work ruined 😢

Oh that is a shame! Not only because the buyer doesn’t have a house but because the carrier was so careless and customs brutal.

That is the part that I am angry about. I know how I packed it and the way she showed me the unpacking my work was all undone and sloppy!

What an amazing house! It is a tragedy that it was delivered in pieces. 😦

Oh my goodness! That’s awful. I am so sorry. You did an amazing job and the house looks beautiful. I’m sure that doesn’t help any.😭 What now? I assume you refund the money or send another?

I refunded all of the money…I don’t want to build it again! She is already supposed to buy another two but I’m scared to ship them. I think I will put a picture of the contents and a list on the outside of the box.

So that the post people know it’s fragile and not to mishandle it?

I suppose! I put Fragile stickers all over it! It’s like they opened and couldn’t care less and just tossed it back in the box. I take so much time packaging things so they don’t break.

I’m sure! I wonder if it’s possible to ship it in assembled parts that they’d have to glue together.

Good idea but with this particular one it and most others it would be nearly impossible because of the wiring for the lights and all that.
