Here are this week’s questions:
1. What was your favourite pastime as a child? I think I’d say playing outside since that is what I remember most. I do remember reading and coloring but being outside was really what I recall.
2. Did you use colouring pencils, fibre tips, or wax crayons for your childhood drawings? I remember mostly using crayons. I can think of times I had markers (fibre tips) but they would dry out so quickly. I can’t say that I remember having colored pencils!
3. Did you use a paintbox or have a ‘magic’ book where you only needed to brush the page with water? I remember having water color paints and sometimes paint with water. Water colors were always popular because they didn’t make too much of a mess. I remember rubbing my brush around and around to get a nice dark color! Color with water was just fun to see what was revealed!
4. What kind of books did you read as a child? I remember reading The Secret Garden and a lot of nursery rhyme books. I found a few of my old books that were my favorites. I had a book called “Ann Likes Red”. I remember liking it because my middle name is Ann. The other book I remember so well is One Morning in Maine. I remember thinking it was me and my sister. I just identified with the little kid, the way she looked and acted.

I always “thought” that was me and my older sister!
One other favorite that I identified with was Blueberries for Sal

Robert McCloskey wrote “Homer Price” too. I read that.
