Climate Change Debate

Do you believe that humans have brought about climate change or is it just false news/hoax?

I believe that in whatever percentage of climate change that is NOT naturally occurring humans have done all of the damage. I don’t think all of the things humans have done have been intentional and many have arisen after the fact of learning that they are bad for the environment. Aerosols for instance. But the problem is when factors that contribute to damage are not stopped. I think in a general fashion, some of the problem is inevitable with the changing world. I mean, no one is going to get rid of transportation because of the problems of emissions. But, if everyone did a little something to help it would make a huge difference. They say that many of the earth’s problems can self-correct. If this is true then there is hope, if the ice caps don’t melt first and flood the world!

    • David was telling me the other day about how all the battery powered cars are actually burning through the tires faster because the batteries are heavier, making the car heavier, heating the tires more. The carbon waste from the burning of rubber is really bad for the environment. Then you have the problem of having to make the batteries. It is really transferring one problem, gas emissions, to another.

      • One of the biggest problems now is that they don’t know what to do with the batteries once they can’t be used anymore. That has always been a problem with batteries and although people don’t realize it that’s also why electricity is often used rather than the batteries. I think the biggest answer is moderation.

      • There are many issues when we shift from one source of energy to another. But all these things can be sorted out in time. We just need the will to do it.
