What do you think of Trump’s digital trading cards? Do you think it reflects a sound business and/or political strategy? Do you think it’s ridiculous and is something undignified for a former U.S. President (and 2024 presidential candidate) to do? Or do you have no opinion one way or the other?
When I first heard of NFT’s it was David telling me I should make some with my artwork and/or my miniatures. I looked into it and I still don’t totally understand them, as they are part of that digital world that has me meta-confused. Anyhow, I think it is an absolutely ridiculous antic from a despicable man who still has followers despite his stupidity. I’m sorry to anyone that still likes him, but anyone that does must have a mental problem. He is dangerous and selfish and cares for no one other than himself, well and maybe Putin. People bought the NFT’s thinking that some day they would be worth something well guess what?
- 99% of all baseball cards are worthless! When I first wrote this I thought, maybe I’d better look that up so….https://venussports.co/2020/05/14/are-my-old-baseball-cards-worth-anything/#:~:text=It%20is%20only%200.1%25%20of,is%20emotionally%20valuable%20to%20you.
- Only collectors want Cabbage Patch Dolls and Barbies
- Hummels aren’t worth what people paid for them back in the 80’s
- The Christmas Village (I think #56) isn’t wanted by anyone under the age of probably 65.
I could go on and on and when all is said and done what’s the point? If you want to hold on to some virtual card so you can virtually sell it for virtual money, go for it. In my life I have better things to do and better things to spend my money on!
Yes, he is a despicable man, and I have a hard time comprehending why anyone would spend $99 for a worthless digital trading card, much less one with cartoonish drawings that feed Trump’s inflated ego. But they did!

That about sums up how I feel about NFTs, regardless of my opinion of the person behind them.

I guess people are allowed to do what they want. I have the original bubblegum cards from Star Wars. They’re not worth anything, but I like to look at them, they bring back memories

I remember saving all the wrappers from Dum-Dum lollipops to send in for some free toy or something

It was just another ego pump for the donald. His followers, he brainwashed a bunch of those while they were watching fox news. Sly as a fox snooze. And snooze they all did.

When I see black people wearing Black For Trump I want to cry out…”He is the biggest racist!” Then you see poor people in their clothes that you can tell are their best and I want to scream…”He doesn’t want you because you have no money for him!” I could go through any social, ethnic or personal group and say this I’m sure.

Same! I bought a zillion beanie babies, but I didn’t expect to get wealthy from that ~ they were just for fun and trading 🙂

I still have a few of my favorites. I do have a few things that I have just happened to hold on to that might someday be worth something but in the end, when I go, all of my stuff will be donated and someone else will get it. I do have stamps but the worth doesn’t increase fast enough.

I just looked online and you can buy a “new” sheet of 37 cent Muppets stamps for about $17. I guess if I paid $7.40 for them I can sell them and make $10! Woo Hoo…Plan the vacation…🤪
