A COUNTDOWN TO ______________

Time for Chores

Sometimes I sit and start to think
of all I have to do
I think of home and work and such
and friends though I have few
I want to set my house all straight
with all my things in place
I want my yard and pool to shine
but at my own slow pace
My laundry’s clean, not put away
the sheets need washing too
the kitchen sink is in repair
the bath will have to do
Dog hair sticks to everything
I try to keep it clean
but all these things just pile up
Do you know just what I mean?
