Happy 21st Heavenly Birthday, Joey!

Today my son should be here to celebrate his 21st birthday with his mom and sister. Joey was the smartest boy and had a bright future ahead of him. He is missed by so many people.

My heart breaks…every single day that you are gone.

    1. Jessica, it is hard to put out there but I almost feel like it adds to his legacy. I don’t want him forgotten. I’m always torn on how much to share and all that and I always hope it is within reasonable limits that no one feels uncomfortable.

      1. I can’t speak for others, but I think a lot of bloggers are prefer for anything. When I make a post about my personal experience or deep feelings, I instead always ask if I’m comfortable sharing it. I believe that readers will feel what the writers want if they’re confident over what they share.
This truly was a lovely piece 😊

      2. Thank you. I agree with you also. It’s almost like when Facebook first came out and people were airing their dirty laundry. No one wants to hear it. In the same way I have come across a few blogs that are titled stuff like: “Just stupid stuff to say” or something like that. Well, if it is stupid then I’m not going to waste my time stopping there to read the blogs!

  1. He looks a lovely boy and I understand your heartbreak. A child taken so young is something that should not happen in nature’s laws. You would be entitled to rage against the terrible thing that has been brought to bear on you but you have chosen to meet it head on and, not fight it, subdue it and live with it. You are a very brave woman. and Joey was lucky to have you for his mother for the years he lived.
