There was quiet in the theater as the audience waited for the curtain to go up. Megan could tell by the hush of the audience that it would be any moment now. She knew she was ready but the anxiety still shook her from the inside out. The one thing she was sure of, she had developed the ability to improvise if anyone made an error. You can’t let them see you sweat!

Slowly, the curtain began to go up. Hands placed gently on her hips, toe pointed to perfection she stood, statuesque, waiting for the orchestra to begin playing, signaling the start of the performance. This was not the first performance, nor the last, but Megan wanted it to be perfect. With all of the time and effort she put in to her dancing it only seemed fair.

From behind her she could smell the sweet breath of her male partner, hands rested gently on her waist, ready to lift her after the orchestra began. Together, the pair were beautiful, natural, and worked in unison with ease. This was going to be a fantastic show!
