Paullo was the kid who everyone found hilarious even when he wasn’t trying. The problem was this time he felt lost. He couldn’t see a darn thing and although he heard everyone laughing, had no idea what to do next.
The teacher looked around her room wondering where the rest of the desks were; there had always been twice as many desks, hadn’t there? Maybe someday the desks could be put back and the students could pile into her room like they used to. She sat and thought, if this is the way it would be forever shouldn’t she just start getting used to it?
Francine flew over and landed on the post next to Bernice, staring in the direction that her friend was looking in. Both friends knew when it was time to talk and when it was time to sit silently and take in the sights. Bernice had an eye for a good man and Francine wanted to see how close Bernice was to perfect this time.
The trip was going to be a great one complete with people with common interests who desire to challenge themselves. No one knew they would be carrying the bikes rather than riding them. This was one of the best tests the group could have imagined and felt proud knowing that they would conquer the obstacle and endure.
Before the moon drops to reveal a new day, the raven sits and waits to see if death will be coming to call. This lonely raven caws softly, hoping to fly soon, as the sky starts to brighten. Tonight is a good night, the raven continues to sit, death is nowhere near; a quiet night is a fine-spun night of peace.
We stared at the bin of toys, completely mesmerized with the variety of toys and the memories many of them invoked. It was a shame that so many toys would be thrown in the trash when there are probably thousands of children who would love them like they were brand new. It would take more than just my dream or desire to share these things to make sure the toys got to the right kids, where they could be enjoyed, even though they weren’t brand new.
The fairy flew sprinkling purple powder along the rows of vegetables. Sunlight will enhance the colors and draw people to the fields. Peace can be found here, even before the fairies come.
He listened intently as the bow ran across the strings of the antique violin, purchased from a yard sale while stopping at a port. He couldn’t hear a sound from the bow, but in his head he could hear the music clearly, note for note, without a single screech from the instrument. Perhaps it was all in his head, maybe it was stuck in the violin, but he didn’t care because he heard the music loud and clear.
If I were to swim to the edge of the foam I am not sure if I would stay afloat or sink. No one ever told me what to do when the water was clear and it looked like you could fall forever. Perhaps I will stay in this foam, where I know I am safe, amongst my peers, floating above some foreign land.
When we show our faith and trust in God he will allow us to do impossible things. It is not about standing still and taking what life gives you it is more about going out and getting what you want. It doesn’t matter if you are male or female, black or white, you can do impossible things.
