What a silly little guy! I hope I can see him soon!

So, I got a call from the Oncology/Hematology group, and the head of the department agreed that the doctor who pushed me out the door was in the wrong. I went in for bloodwork, but now it’s been a week, and I haven’t heard a thing from the doctor. The bloodwork showed exactly what I had been saying the whole time: it’s been the same for many years.

I’m going back on Semaglutide injections. Since David dumped me and all the physical nonsense, I have gained 25 pounds. Now my knee is acting up, the one I need to get replaced, but I’m not even looking into that until my shoulder gets fixed. I figure if I can drop the weight, my knee might feel better.

As far as the knee and the shoulder, I am starting to go a bit crazy with the pain. I am on constant doses of Tylenol and Motrin, alternating between them to save my liver. They aren’t doing much anymore. I know I have stronger stuff from prior surgeries, but I don’t want to start with painkillers. I really don’t need to add drug addiction to my list!

Anyhow, yesterday was the last day of school for students; I have a few more days. By next Wednesday, I will either be packing to go north to see Julian and Lindsay or I will be prepping for surgery. Believe it or not, I’m happy with either!

I’m happy I am able to read some post but hope to get back here in the next week or so. I feel like I have terminal writer’s block and I need my WordPress therapy! Peace and be well!

  1. Know what you mean about pain meds. Eventually they don’t work. Hubby found that and so didn’t take them until absolutely necessary. I’m the same. Had to hit two ‘bombs’ tonight for my back, so will be taking those for a few days to help relax the muscles so that I can sleep.
Hope all goes well, travel or surgery. Take care.

  2. Christine, I’m glad the blood test showed you were right, and I hope your shoulder and knee feel better soon. Whether you’re taking a trip or having surgery, I hope things go well, and I look forward to reading your posts again!
