Dear World,
If you are reading this, then you are probably concerned about humanity and keeping our world safe and clean for many generations to come. There are many factors to bear in mind when thinking about what should be done or should NOT be done. Who should make those decisions, and who decides which ones are the right ones?
I hope to point out some key points to keep in mind when considering life as it is and as it is to become.
1. Be kind to other people. Every single human, regardless of what they look like on the outside, is a person on the inside. There are good people of every color and bad people of every color…drift toward the good people.
2. Be kind to our planet. Innovation and invention are wonderful, but what is taken from this earth cannot be put back, or at least not easily. Animals don’t have a world to live in if we build shopping plazas and condominiums by the dozen. With all of the empty real estate in this world, why are we just building more?
3. Share with other people. Being a millionaire or a billionaire must be nice, and yes, I know the story that everyone has their problems, but some people have nothing. I have worked with children who don’t even have a bottle of ketchup or mayonnaise in their refrigerator, let alone fresh fruit or vegetables!
4. Remember our elderly! They have lived their lives, don’t they deserve to rest at the end?
5. Respect our military, those who serve the country for peace! Stop killing, stop bombing, stop invading, stop always wanting more.
These are some of my hopes for a great future.
Sometimes I think peace should be easy, but that is foolishness. Peace must be worked toward and worked on. Everyone can do it; it is possible.
Thank you for reading!
Sincerely,
Christine

Optional prompt this week: Please (a) write for us your personal message to the rest of humanity, the thing you most need to communicate, on the assumption that all humanity will get to read it and take note, or (b) write about why you are not going to do that.

I love this letter! Yes, we do need to work for and toward peace!!!
