You’ve reminded me of two benches. One was in a park with a sight line over Lake Michigan, and the other that held a small plastic storage shed that was/is home to a little free library. 🙂
I haven’t done it yet but I bought a book with plans on making a little free library to put near my home. I found that around the corner from my house there is a little free library plus two other “library” type buildings for canned goods! I thought that was a great idea!
Our local elementary school has a mini food pantry that I often put a few goods in. I enjoy little free libraries, but hubby doesn’t want one in front of our house. I’ll just visit the several I know of…and make trades. I also enjoy our own library book store!
We are on a corner lot so I was thinking if I ever actually build on I can put it out on the corner so it isn’t necessarily on my property. A lot of people walk by even though it is more residential.
I have a friend who is incharge of three Little Free Libraries… She had to get permission for the two not on her property. So that is something to check out. 🙂
