Where do my tears fall?
With each anniversary,
there is a new tug at my heart.
Where will my tears fall?
With each birthday,
no physical celebration takes place.
Where do my tears fall?
Without you
my instincts as a mother
are hidden
Without you
my intuitions as a mother
are silenced
Without you
my habitudes as a mother
are restrained
Where will my tears fall
Tomorrow
when I go to say
Happy Birthday?

I don’t know why but this year was so very hard. I think I am tired after moving and all that so my defenses are weak. Its been a tough day but what can you do?

I think one of the hardest parts of yesterday is that my daughter is so far away and my husband, Joey’s dad, is gone too so there isn’t that familial closeness to lean on.

I feel that. With my mother gone and my sisters far away we have to rely on phone calls which isn’t the same when you want to just sit with someone who knows…
