Bjorn’s prompt: write from a different perspective or maybe even several perspectives than what you normally do

I decided to use the second person POV but also to make the subject very vague, leaving the reader to make their own assumptions if it is in fact their own vision.

It started when you looked this way
a quick, slight glance, your eyes did stray
but then you caught it in that spot
the place it is but oh, should not

Who put it there that piece of life?
was it your friend, your love, your wife?
and is the purpose clear to you?
for finding peace is what is due.

but things find homes where things should not
they end up in some awkward spot
You’ll find them if you look real hard
Perhaps a piece, a chunk, a shard

But do not fret for what is lost
Don’t give your time at any cost
Just keep on moving strong and fast
a memory will make it last.
