Here are this week’s questions:
- If you could be a flower or a plant, what would you be and why?
- The first thing to come to mind is an Iris. A purple bearded iris…because they are beautiful but the smell is just so uniquely fantastic.
- Do you believe in magic?
- Yes and no. I don’t particularly like that magic done in performances is all a trick of the eye. To me it is just faking something or trying to trick someone which unsettles me. In regard to magic, like spells and the such, I do believe there are people out there who can harness different aspects of the world but I don’t know if I believe they can change it. I do believe someone could put a bad spell on you, but that would be by someone who truly has the ability, a shaman for example. Ultimately, if I had to say only yes or only no, I would say “no”.
- Do you believe in Karma?
- Yes, definitely. I believe that Karma evens things out. We may never know about how it works or when it is done but I do believe that a nasty, evil being will somehow get it back to them in the end. I guess that is also why when I lost my husband and then my son I was a complete mess because I felt like I must have done something in my past to deserve that emotional pain. I guess I got it down to two different realities, through therapy, because I don’t think they lost their lives because of something I did. I almost feel like I must have done something in my past and the pain alone is what came back to me.
- Do you live in a community spirited neighbourhood?
- Well, lets hope so. We literally just moved to a new state and so far the people in this area seem to be very welcoming and friendly. In the actual area around our house, we haven’t really met anyone yet. The house next to us is vacant, as is the house across the street. We did find out that the house next door to us is vacant because the man died sometime last year and there was no one to leave his estate to so this state doesn’t have any specific guidelines on closing out the estate so it is just sitting there. Luckily, the houses are close enough that there wouldn’t be people secretly living in there or able to break in.
- The neighborhood we moved from was not what we had originally anticipated. I love the couple across the street and their two little kids. We have another neighbor we are friendly with but otherwise most of the neighbors kept to themselves, which is fine.
Gratitude: I am grateful to have a such a beautiful new home, bigger than I would ever have wished for.

I like your flower choice, as those kind of irises are a favorite of mine. It’s hard to describe the scent, but my mom grew lots of them, and once you smell them you never forget how good they are. 🙂
