From my desk: 07/16/2025

I suppose it was best that I didn’t know the date today until now. I was able to get some things done, without my heart hurting so much.

Six years ago my son died in a motorcycle accident. He was 19 years old and on his way home from work. He was heading to Florida Tech in Melbourne for college that fall, as he had just finished high school with high honors and a member of the National Honor Society. He was so smart and mastered the SAT’s math section, getting 100%, all 800 points.

My heart aches and this doesn’t ever get easier. I am lucky to have my blogging community to express this all to. I appreciate all of you for your support.

  1. You had mentioned this to me… But I didn’t want to ask…

I would like to send you (in an email- that you can copy and print out) a non-traditional breavement book that I put together when my father passed… let me know if you would like it.

~May your son’s memories be for blessings.

  2. Real hard to “like” this post. My heartfelt sympathy. Tragedy can stay fresh for ages. I hope your heart is protected by the love that surrounds you – here in WP and with friends and family in person… 💔💔🙏🏻🙏🏻
