What are your thoughts on learning cursive? Is it a waste of time or is there still value in learning it?
I don’t see what’s wrong with learning something that might come in handy someday! I used to teach my high school kids just so they knew how to sign their names. Many children, at least the ones I worked with, didn’t even know what it was or that it even existed!

I love cursive and had to teach both my sons when they were in 4th grade since they’d dropped it from the 3rd grade curriculum. They have horrible hand writing but they can sign their names in cursive!!

Every so often if I am writing I try to write in cursive but now it is hard because I am so out of practice. I remember being in school and that was all that was allowed!

I write in cursive often – I love to use my calligraphy skills….

I guess I don’t even write with pen and paper often at all!

I have far too many pens and too too much paper! Of course most of it is in boxes in the basement!
