Today’s prompt is:
Grand Prismatic Spring, Wyoming USA
This is a picture of a hot spring that is rainbow colored! It is real, found in Wyoming!

Stine Writing 
Interesting picture and comment from Jim. I can actually see this one, but will pass this week as all I can think about is the rainbow coloured sherbet we used to buy when I was a kid. It always turned our fingers yellow, regardless of the colour sherbet we were sucking on!

Funny because I was looking at that rainbow colored sherbet at the store last week and although I used to love it as a kid, now I like one serving and then I tire of it so buying a whole container gets wasted.

Hubby always loved the sherbet fountain, but the white sherbet powder doesn’t fizz anymore.

I don’t know about any fizzing powder! Is a fountain like a milkshake?

It was very popular when I was a kid, and came in a yellow paper tube with a liquorice stick in it. If you tipped out the sherbet into a glass and mixed it with water, it went fizzy!

Hubby’s favourite and I used to buy him one every Christmas. The paper carton is long gone and it’s not the same in plastic. To be honest though, I haven’t seen any for quite a while!

Thank you for this. I got a sudden inspiration to write a poem based on this prompt. Took me 5:55 minues, ha ha! Posting immediately after submitting this comment. (Oh, I’ll have to think of a title yet, though)

I saw in one of your posts that you want to support scholarships. I did too and in 2019 I lost my son so when I sold my house I started a scholarship under his name to present at the high school he graduated from. I go each year to present the award and even though it is hard and it isn’t a ton of money it feels good to know his name stays alive in his memory.

I think that’s great! I’m sorry for your loss. I do know how it feels to lose a baby (twice, actually). But I suspect it’s doubly, even triple hard, to lose a child you have already held and raised and loved even more…
A scholarship is a scholarship is a scholarship. Any kid would be lucky enough to be the recipient of one (though, of course, it’s due to his hard work,too). My dream is still a dream, but I hope to someday sponsor, at least, one deserving child. I don’t really have to be a millionaire. I just say that because I can send more kids to school. But always matter are the good intentions.

Well, if you ever wanted to help with the scholarship in my son’s memory let me know! Whatever you do is commendable. I used to teach and believe that everyone has the capacity to learn. I encourage everyone to do as much as they can.
