When do the feelings seem sublime?
All the time!
Where does the heart go to cure?
So obscure!
How will I go on without you?
Sad but true!
All the time I feel obscure
Missing the days you were here
Knowing you’re gone without fear
Needing rain to pour down a cure.

So today being the 10th day our poetry is to be crafted in the style of the Spanish Ovillejo which comprises 10 lines broken into two sub stanzas thus:
- first stanza is composed of six lines
- three rhyming couplets
- the rhyme scheme is aabbcc
- 8/3 syllables per couplet
- each couplet is a question/answer or echo
- –
- second stanza is composed of four lines
- rhyme scheme cddc
- 6-8 syllables for the three lines* (I’ve seen a range of syllables used).
- the final line combines lines 2, 4, and 6 together.

So beautiful and evocative

This tastes like a broken heart.

A somewhat complicated form and you made it look easy!!

Apparently I got a bit of it wrong…I guess it’s the effort that counts

If you want to rewrite line 7 and the final line go ahead (I did admire the cure/obscure pairing even though it strays a little from the set rhyme structure cddc) otherwise the poem is well composed within the guidelines and has some evocative questioning

Such a sad poem (like my theme too).

I understood the structure until the final line how is that a combo of lines 2,4 & 6 ?

I misread it and put the “combo” in the last stanza…I tried!
