Well, I am super tired from lack of GOOD sleep. When I get this tired my life starts to come out in rhyme, mostly some or all the time. (hehehehe). I haven’t been writing as much as usual because every time I sit down anywhere slightly comfortable I fall asleep! Anyhow, this popped into my mind and out of my fingertips…The “joke” is that I have had a lot of surgeries, mostly due to my psoriatic arthritis, but when I was first teaching it was really stressful. The kids were emotionally disturbed and I had never worked with non-compliant people before this. Anyhow, when life got real rough I used to tell my late husband, Bob, that I needed surgery so I could have a really good nap!

Being Tired

exhaustion comes in different forms
from bad commercials to social norms
from feeling sick and getting old
from crying tears or a laugh so bold
but when the feelings get real bad
you think of all the surgeries had
and how that mask with air will make
the nap you get the best you’ll take!
