I am with my dad right now, he is still in the nursing home. He has been getting up by himself which is both good and bad. Good because he is working his muscles, bad because he hasn’t had a walker in here and just wanders around which is dangerous. He often takes off his neck brace because he doesn’t understand that his neck is broken and needs to stay in the brace so he doesn’t damage anything further. It is a relief to see him getting better but this is going to be a long few weeks since as he gets better he gets more restless to get out of here. He hates being in bed and he hates being by himself. I guess it shows that his Memory Care Facility does a good job keeping all the residents active and interacting with each other!
