Each day unlike the one before
with new views
feelings
not so new
fear that sadness will engulf
the soul that is here
The heart can feel the emotion
pain that exists
along with the joy and love
of a new day, a new partnership
where sorrow is not forgotten
just put aside
to make room for the good
positive things in life
are just as good
as what is lost over time
Embrace the new
while cherishing the old
no other options exist
Time is valuable
memories are timeless
and hold their own place
in the mind, the heart, and the soul.
