Emily Dickinson once said, “November always seems to me the Norway of the year.”  I have never been to Norway, but I did go to Sweden which is close by, however I went there in the late summer, so the weather was nice.  There were lots of signs around warning drivers about moose which is both plural and singular, so there is no such thing as meese, or mooses.  It seems that the moose get drunk eating fermented berries and you don’t want to run into them with your cars.  I was in Scotland in the winter and it was cold up there and the days were very short and because of that people got depressed and they went to pubs to drink.
