I honestly have never heard this, well maybe, but just in passing. Anyhow, looking up valor I found this: val·or/ˈvalər/noun 1. great courage in the face of danger, especially in battle.

That being said, my interpretation would be that you do for the good, not for the glory.

Saving the World

I want to save the world  
but just before I do  
let me fix my make-up  
get dressed up, tie my shoe.  
 
I wouldn’t want the others  
to see me in my rags  
They’d think I’m a beggar  
Ignoring fashion mags.  
 
If I see you need me  
give me a bit of time  
To fix my hair, find a dress  
Looking good ain’t no crime!
