Thingamajig

Written for: https://ragtagcommunity.wordpress.com/2020/05/11/rdp-monday-thingamajig/

Of course you remember!

Remember that old thingamajig

That you used to keep in the box thingy

Where that other roundish thing was

You know! Near the brownish

Boxy looking thing.

Come on! You know exactly what

I mean.

It’s that whatchamacallit from

That place over

on the other side there

Where we used to see

Whoozy-whatsy?

I can’t remember the name!

Oh, just forget it!

Quadrille: d’verse Poets pub

Here’s what to do:

  • Write a Quadrille : a poem that is EXACTLY 44 words long, not including the title.
  • And the poem itself must include the word “silly” or a form of the word (ie silly, silliness, silly-how).
  • Post the poem to your blog AND add the exact URL for your poem to Mr. Linky below.
  • REMEMBER to either TAG dVerse in your post, or include a link at the end of your poem that leads readers back to dVerse (https://dversepoets.com). https://dversepoets.com/2020/05/04/lighten-up-a-bit/

Super silly sammy

Super silly Sammy
loved to take a bath.
He loved to use his bubbles
He’d count them using math.

One day silly Sammy
ran out of liquid soap
He tried to use the bar kind
but man, he couldn’t cope.

Bar soap doesn’t bubble.

A Name A Day: Brian

©2020 C Bialczak

Please participate in A Name A Day. Write a story, poem, or something about a real individual you know with the name of the day. If you have a name that you would like for the blog please send me a message. Please keep it all positive.

This is part of my positivity plan. Allowing others to see their names in print and then stories or poems that are positive about them is reinforcing to adults and children.

Enjoy this! I will post a few random names until people choose to participate and give some names. I will continue as long as people would like to participate. I believe it will be nice for any blogger to share with a friend or family member poems “about them” from so many talented writers. Enjoy!
