Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “up/down.” Use one, use them both, but try to put one in your first sentence. Bonus points if you use the other in your last sentence. Have fun!

Every time I think
I’d like you to turn up
you find me in a daze
because you’ve let me down.

Stream of Consciousness Saturday

Prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “difference.” Whatever the word “difference” conjures first in your mind, write about it. Enjoy! https://lindaghill.com/2021/04/09/the-friday-reminder-and-prompt-for-socs-april-10-2021/

A few months ago
maybe like two
I knew what I wanted
and wanted to do
then all this stuff happened
that made me go blind
into a new world
one like no other kind
A stepmother dying
A dad like a kid
A sister that’s awful
It’s just what she did
and now that my life
has taken this path
I sit in this condo
I take Karma’s wrath
I try all I can
To stay happy and spry
even though my whole life
is passing me by
Some day it will change
and I’ll have my own place
and then you will see
a big smile on my face

prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “magnet.” Use it any way you’d like. Enjoy!

Magnet

When I think of magnet so many ideas come to my head….

magnetism
magnetic field
magnetic image
magnet

I can picture things but don’t have enough information to write about them in any length. So instead, a haiku:

when drawn together
no power to pull apart
predominance reigns

prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “opt.”

With the world under COVID watch, there are a lot of decisions that people are having to make, that otherwise would seem so simple.

Should I go shopping? I could or I could opt for home delivery or even curbside pickup
Should I visit family? I could or I could opt for Facetime or Skype
Should I travel? I could or I could opt to put my funds aside, maybe watch them grow, and plan for when it is safe.
Should I go to work? Hell no, not if the boss says, “Stay Home”!
