Today’s word is “ivory.”
An elephant tusk is the first thing you see
When you pass by the place that sells ivory.
Its beautiful texture and wonderful hues
Makes poaching and killing horrible news.
We love what we have with that hard white plaster
But don’t think about the poor herd master
He’s missing a member of his elephant tribe
Because we want ivory, its sort of a bribe.
What can we do for more ivory to make?
Find a white stone and make it a fake.
This way we keep all the elephants alive
Where in the wild they can all thrive.
From the past
To speak to the moon is like worshiping the sun.
To climb the highest mountain is like having some fun.
To run like the wind is to run super fast.
An adage has meaning as its been used in the past.
Little Betty Ann Sue had a problem
With her shoe.
She had two laces and a knot
She couldn’t solve this twisted plot.
She thought she’d like to see the bay
The only way she’d be okay.
She took her mama and her pop
Up to the pier to look on top.
She screamed and yelled because of this
Her parents saw the fun they’d miss
If they didn’t find a way
To keep her quiet for that day.
LIttle Betty Ann Sue fell upon the deck
Almost hard enough this time, enough to break her neck.
Once upon a time there was a regular family that lived in a regular house with a regular dog. There was a regular mother, regular father, and two regular kids. This family did regular things like going to regular movies and taking regular vacations. One day something happened and the regular family changed. On this day the regular mother got a really good job at a bank so now she was a banker. On this day the regular father got a really good job building houses and now he was a builder. On this day both children went to play with friends in their neighborhood and were now playmates.
With the world turned up it was easy to see that being regular was easier.
Dingo was a dog
He had a special bowl
He had a real long leash
He knew how to dig a hole.
Dingo loved his papa
Dingo loved his toy
Dingo loved his mama
He was a cutie boy.
Dingo was upset
Dingo chased his tail
He couldn’t find his toy
He was going to derail.
His mama she looked hard
His papa he did too
They found his little toy
It was his owner’s shoe!
Today’s word from Fandango is “irate.”
FOWC with Fandango — Irate
If you’re mad then you’re irate
But don’t you go and take that bait.
They’ll hook you only if they can
They’ll say you’re not a stronger man.
They want you to feel guilt and shame
But you’ll be the only one to blame.
Don’t say a word to that nonsense
Build up that wall, put up that fence.
Show them that your heart is strong
And this will only prove they’re wrong.
School is over, school is done
let’s go home and have some fun.
Let’s play catch and let’s play tag
We’ll lose the rag in Capture the Flag.
When we are called to come on in
We’ll say tomorrow how we’ll begin
to play again when we get out
of school, we have to go no doubt.
