Eugi’s Weekly Prompt “Cherish” – May 18, 2020

For Eugi:

What I cherish

I cherish the land and I cherish the sea
I cherish my solitude and also the “we”

I think I am lucky  to have so much joy
The worst thing for me was losing my boy.

But life must go on and so I will try
to be grateful for everything that’s passing by.

Stellar Performance

Your Weekly Word Prompt – Stellar – February 24, 2020.

A stellar performance
a beautiful show
such a fine actor
no one did know.

You took the stage
right in your hand
led the others
Behind you they stand.

And when the show
has come to an end
Let them cheer for you
You are stellar, my friend.

Eugi’s Weekly Prompt – Glimmer – January 27, 2020

Sweet Life

A glimmer of hope
a moment of peace
a drink on a hot day
love that won’t cease
A smiling child
a tear of a clown
the beading and glitter
on a new wedding gown
the hope for a life
with no end in sight
a good bedtime story
and a sweet kiss goodnight.

Eugi’s Weekly Prompt – Laughter – January 13, 2020 BY-EUGENIAON

My first impulse is to write a poem using the word “laughter”. I do have to first state that one of my favorite things to hear is a baby’s laughter…a sound of the angels!

In the night the circus comes
and with it brings a clown
Don’t let laughter come out
He’ll want to take you down
Into the ring before you
To make you seem a fool
The creepy clown is laughing
You’re acting like a tool.
He thinks he’s being funny
Although that isn’t right
The only way to stop him
Is to go home for the night.
