The nights are warm the days seem long
my heart is healing, I should feel strong
The solstice comes to welcome light
Where worlds converge, just sheer delight
But in the back of our minds, there lies
Memories of days with darkened skies
Which do we listen to when we’re here?
Perhaps the truth is what we fear.

The days with the most light means that from now it will only get darker.

I enjoyed the probing nature of this poem if not a little unsettling…well done!🩵

Happy summer solstice and truth is feared because it doesn’t sugarcoat things, I think, at least that is the thought that popped up when I read the last line.
