The cold in my feet, the cold in my hands
Glue in my blood, ice in my glands
Never knew coldness could be so bad
A feeling, as a child, I never had
But now that I’m older, and this is a fact
I can’t warm my body, it just won’t react
My fingers turn blue, and my nose starts to run
Maybe for others, but for me it’s no fun
I try to be brave and be grown up for sure
But the icy cold rain and snow, not a lure
So crank up the heat and spend what I’ve got
The electric is killing me, but the cold sure is not!

Christine, I really felt “Glue in my blood, ice in my glands.” Aging into this kind of cold is no joke. Here’s hoping you stay warm and cozy!
