For today’s prompt, write an explanation poem. Let me explain, or actually, you should explain…in your poem.

I put the heat on

It is only because I hate to be cold
The house is so drafty, its big and its old
I’m used to the heat, not liking the freeze
Its like snow on the beach, a cold icy breeze

But its only electric we now have to pay
It’ll all even out when its a warm day
For now I can’t take it, the icy cold toes
If you live in the north you’re a person who knows.

    • We are trying to figure it all out. This house is quite big and there is no point in heating areas we are not in. One thing I love is that there are these fans in the bathrooms that you can turn on so when you are in the bathroom you can have it nice and warm!
