really liked it

Exposed by Roxy Rich is a psychologically moving story about getting back up after you’ve been beaten down, literally. Told in the first person, Scarlet, the main character of the novel, pulls you into her world, shocking you with every new step she takes.

When Scarlet meets Matt it seems like fate that this loving man could come at the perfect time, rescuing her from her miserable home life, promising her to keep her safe and to love her forever. Scarlet can’t refuse Matt’s advances, he is a police officer and extremely handsome, someone she never knew would fall for someone like her. Scarlet is about to find out how much Matt wants her, wants to control her, break her down, and maybe even kill her.

But some people are able to escape and Scarlet does, but she cannot escape her past and what it means to her; she won’t let other women fall for men like Matt, the powerful, the untouchable, the so-called elite. It turns into Scarlet’s mission to find these men, men just like Matt, and show them exactly where they belong and what they rightly deserve.

Exposed will rope you in on the first page and you will not be able to stop reading until you get to the end, the end of this page of Scarlet’s life. Despite trigger warnings, graphic details and scenarios, and mind-bending situations, Roxy Rich has written a tale too many women in the world know as true life. This is definitely a compelling story that I highly recommend.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

    • I have to say I was not too happy with the ending. I’d want to warn you though that some of the abuse stuff at the beginning was terribly disturbing and I’m not usually too phased by that. I couldn’t understand if this was fiction or non-fiction, the way it was written until about the middle of the book.
