Ridiculous Law Creation
New Law
There is a new law
I have to complain
its sort of a shock
much more of a pain
it tells us to go
shopping only one day
and the rest of the week
you must stay away
If you can’t do it all
in only one stop
you’re gonna get caught
probs by a cop
you must get it all
at only one store
with only one cart
when you walk in the door
if you fill it up fast
you’re shit out of luck
you forgot all the food
by law, now, you’re stuck
you push and you cram
you run down the aisle
milk and some eggs
at least a breakfast profile
but none of these things
will last for the week
but with this new law
your options are meek
I think ’bout my life
and realize I’m fat
So the law’ll help me out
how about that!?!?!

I often go to the store to get one or two things for dinner that night, not knowing what the rest of the week will look like.

haha I like this funny, and it kind of reminds me of that tv game show supermarket sweep!
These days we go all the time, but way back when, we’d go once a month to the commissary on the Army base, because we got paid once a month. We had more than one basket, though. 🙂

This is a really fun poem, Christine that was very creative. Actually, this law wouldn’t bother me at all as I just about doe my weekly shopping in the same store and I only go once a week.

You probably save yourself quite a bit of money that way! I remember reading once that you should only walk the perimeter of the grocery store becuase that is where the healthiest food is and the best bang for your buck. If you think about it it does seem true. Now, since we are moving soon, I only go in for fresh fruits and veggies and stuff that might be on sale. Publix has the weekly BOGO

I live in a gated community and there is a Publix right outside of the gate, so I can go there without even putting my seat belt on.
