Feed the Birds
It started the day at the park
Walking along slowing our pace
Land around me strangely quite stark
A calm peaceful look on my face
My daughter and love were with me
We were out to have a good time
Walking along beneath the tree
No steep hills there we had to climb
Was stopping to take a quick pic
The pink was a shockingly sight
Wondering if this was a trick
Hoping these large birds do not bite
Small food pellets were nibbled fast
palms stretched out as we watched them go
Knowing the small supply wouldn’t last
Happy for the beauty they show
“Lean close for a photo” he said
I did with a smile on my face
My arm hurt and turning bright red
The back of my arm the bit place
