our Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “wish.”
My Wish
I look at my life
and suddenly wish
I had all the joy
there used to be
I am just so lucky
like a candy dish
to have so much sweetness
That I can see
But deep in my soul
is a break that won’t heal
a loss that I had
a big part of me
I must push it aside
to help to move on
So life can have meaning
the way it should be.
