Your Weekly Prompt – Pretend
Mikey’s Dream
Where can I go when I am alone?
Can I fly to the moon, call my mom from my phone?
Can I climb any mountain, no matter how tall?
Can I fit in the mouse house and be really small?
Can I spend all my money on candy and junk?
Can I take cotton candy and fill my mom’s trunk?
Can I have two of everything, I won’t have to share?
My brother’d be happy, I think that plan’s fair.
Can I learn every detail of every book
By opening them up and just taking a look?
Can I always be happy even when sad?
Can I grow big and strong just like my dad?
I think if I think it then it can be done
Mom said pretending is lots of fun.
