Welcome to the 6-minute challenge!
Today’s prompt is:

Stone House, Portugal – an unusually natural building
*****For any participants that do NOT like restrictions, please feel free to participate in any way you would like. It is great to read the contributions!****
- Set up a timer or sit near a clock so you can keep track of the six minutes you will be writing.
- You can either use one of the prompts (photo or written) or you can free-write.
- Get ready and write for 6 minutes, that is it! Can you write a complete story? Can you think of a new Sonnet? Can you write 400 words? 400? 500? There are no restrictions on what kind of writing you do, but you should try to be actively writing for six minutes.
- After you are done writing, include your word count and then post back to this page #Simply6Minutes or include your link in the comments section. Pingbacks are enabled.
- *Feel free to leave your work completely unedited. I believe it is good to see, especially for new writers, that even very seasoned writers don’t write a perfect first draft.*
- Have fun, challenge yourself if you’d like, read and respond to others’ posts.
Thank you for participating!

My 6 minute attempt:
Marty walked down the path to the stone home. He knew the rocks were ancient but he wasn’t sure how the inside would look and if it would even be functional. They must have used some sort of explosive to get the inside opened up but would that have affected the integrity of the stone? He would call in his buddy Paul, who was a civil engineer, to look over the property. He loved it but just wasn’t sure it was his style.
Dennis was walking along the house, on the opposite side that Marty was on. He loved the house and he didn’t care how much room was inside. If it had running water and plumbing he was all for the realistic rock effect. But was he ready to pour his life savings into a pile of rocks? What it there was an earthquake and the whole thing came down? Dennis figured if that happened he’d be squashed and dead so that wouldn’t matter one bit!
As Marty walked around the east side of the stone house he could hear Dennis talking to his realtor about how much he loved the place and that he was going to put down a deposit as soon as he got home.

An interesting picture which conjures up the interior, or maybe lack of it.
