- Write a poem about… April!
What comes to mind when you think of the month of April?
Draw from your memories, your five senses, activities you associate with the month… go wherever this prompt takes you!
April Haibun
It may start as a joke but make no mistake
by mid-month it is serious, or so the taxman says,
but out in the world flowers grow, buds emerge
babies are born, and ideas are thawed
and replenished
The time to grow strong
Always demand loving life
Planning the future

Christine this is lovely! Tax time does put a pinch on many but with many due refunds perhaps not as painful…

Now you’ve made me think of George Harrison singing “Taxman”. But as you point out, April transcends the IRS. (K)
