I was looking through some files I had on my computer and I found this poem. I thought it was funny and I don’t know if I ever put it here on my blog but I wanted to share it. I think I must have written it some time after my dog got attacked by the pitbulls next door. The family there fights all the time, it is no wonder the dogs are so aggressive. Anyhow, enjoy!

They say that the poison is only “for fun”
One bit on the lips and their life is all done
I say that they need a little bit more
I’d like to see spinning ‘fore they fall to the floor
I’d rather see spittle and red bloodshot eyes
Foam at the mouth being eaten by flies
The smell of decay covering every small bit
Their early demise is just seemingly fit
If only they left him alone on that day
If only we had gone some other long way
He would have stayed stable he would have stayed sane
Nothing but blood on that day they could gain.
But the bitch let them go where the door wasn’t tight
It was probably from the fight she had in the night
The one where he called her a C and a P
The one time he’s lucky he’s not married to me
It’s no wonder they fight and they bite to survive
It’s amazing she lets him remain there alive
I’d certainly use the stuff on his next meal
I’d make it a foursome, call it sealing the deal
And then she’d be free and my ears wouldn’t clang
From disgusting bad words and the clamor and bang
Of the furniture flying from inside the house
And landing in mud right in front of his spouse
‘Cause he’s a dog like the others walking up on two legs
He’d be kneeling before me as he cries and he begs
That I keep him alive so he’d see his brood grow
A bit of some sympathy I just couldn’t show
So a little white powder for each of my “friends”
Its a pity their life has to come to these ends
But aggressive big dogs and little mean men
Stay away from my home or I’ll poison again.
