Book Review: Two by Two, Nicholas Sparks

A remarkable story of love, resilience and the willingness to never give up.

Two by Two, Nicholas Sparks

Two by Two, by Nicholas Sparks, is a story of one man’s love, how it begins, how it evolves, and how he survives heartache and disappointment with an inner strength he never knew he even possessed.

Russ and Vivian are the proud parents of a beautiful little girl, London. When Russ is faced with problems in his work, life begins to take a new turn that sends the whole family on a different course. Russ must now figure out how to support his family while maintaining his dignity and learning what fatherhood really means. When Russ seems to be at his lowest, Vivian throws him another curveball, almost sending him over the edge of sanity. Every time things seem to be getting better another ball drops and Russ plummets into despair, weakening his own confidence, leaving him feeling broken. Even with family close by and supportive, Russ fears he might lose everything.

I give this story five out of five stars for its realistic characters, relatable story plot, and the author’s truly remarkable storytelling. Nicholas Sparks brings readers into the heart of the story and allows each character to become as familiar as a close friend, keeping you enthralled in their endeavors and each venture they take. A book that is seriously hard to put down!
